Danforth Townley

Danforth Townley currently serves as General Counsel at Bracebridge Capital, LLC, a position held since March 2017. Prior to this role, Danforth was an Attorney Fellow and Senior Special Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from January 2013 to March 2017, where leadership was provided on rulemaking projects and policy advice in the Division of Investment Management, including the development of the Volcker Rule. Danforth's legal career also includes a significant tenure as a Partner in the Corporate department at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from 1986 to 2012. Danforth Townley earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University.
