Betsy Lake is currently serving as a Government Relations Assistant at Bracewell LLP since September 2023. Previous experience includes working as an English Teaching Assistant at IES Infanta Elena from October 2022 to June 2023 and conducting research as a Research Assistant in the Department of Politics & International Affairs at Wake Forest University from March 2021 to November 2021. During the latter role, significant contributions involved compiling and summarizing research on labor and social movements in Europe, developing annotated bibliographies, and organizing a professor's website. Betsy Lake also held a position as a Research Fellow in the Department of Leadership & Character, where independent research was conducted, and collaborative projects explored issues of polarization in education. Additional roles include serving as a Civic Fellow for You Can Vote, focusing on voter access and education in North Carolina, and interning at the Betsy Sweet Campaign for US Senate. Betsy Lake holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Politics & International Affairs from Wake Forest University, a degree earned in May 2022.
