Sophia (Qingyang) Xu

User Experience Designer at Brado

Sophia (Qingyang) Xu started their work experience in 2015 as an Interior Design Intern at Anthony Inc. Sophia (Qingyang) then worked as an Interior Design Intern at LYCS Architecture from February 2016 to May 2016, where they gained experience in 3D modeling and rendering.

In 2017, they worked as a UX Designer/Researcher at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where they redesigned the registry process for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Congenital Heart Surgery Database. Sophia (Qingyang) also conducted user interviews and participated in the optimization design of the STS Registry System.

From May 2018 to August 2018, Sophia worked as a Graphic Design Co-op at the University of Cincinnati, where they created visual concepts, design assets, and web-based graphics for the libraries.

In November 2019, Sophia became a Freelance Designer and dealt with personal challenges, such as anxiety and depression, while navigating the job market during the pandemic.

From February 2021 to January 2022, they worked as a UX/UI Designer at Landing International. During their time there, Sophia built and launched key feature modules for Landing's B2B platform, simplified the ordering system, and upgraded the admin console to improve customer experience and efficiency.

Currently, Sophia is a User Experience Designer at Brado, starting in August 2022.

Sophia (Qingyang) Xu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Advertising & Promotion from Missouri State University from 2009 to 2013. From 2014 to 2016, they attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, specializing in Interior Architecture. Sophia (Qingyang) then pursued a Master of Design degree from the University of Cincinnati, which they completed from 2017 to 2019.
