Mechanical Engineer II at Brain Electrophysiology Laboratory

Devon Haglund started their work experience in 2015 at Red Robin, where they held various positions as a Busser, Expeditor, and Server. They worked diligently, showed commitment, and worked well with others. In 2018, they became a Tool Design Intern at Leupold + Stevens, Inc., where they used SolidWorks CAD to design tools for product manufacturing. From 2019 to 2020, Devon worked as a Certification Intern at Epic Aircraft and as the Mechanical Lead for the OSU Aerospace Capstone Team: Micro Air Vehicle project. In these roles, they contributed to the design, manufacturing, stability testing, and 3D printing of components for an aerial vehicle competition. In 2020, Devon worked as a MIME Machine Shop Assistant at Oregon State, where they assisted with remote tasks such as floorplan revisions and component modeling, as well as in-person tasks such as organizing workspace and removing components. They also acquired experience as a Robot Operator at Nova Dynamics before joining the Brain Electrophysiology Laboratory in 2021 as the only Mechanical Engineer in the Research and Development (R&D) department. In this role, they tackled design problems, conducted in-house prototyping, managed multiple projects, collaborated with vendors, tested designs, and generated relevant documentation.

Devon Haglund attended Central Oregon Community College from 2012 to 2016, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree with a focus on General Studies. Following this, from 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Minor at Oregon State University.
