Principal Devsecops Engineer (san Antonio, Tx)

Overview:

The Principal DevSecOps Engineer is embedded in a multidisciplinary implementation team. This team is tasked with creating and deploying solutions under tight time frames. The ideal candidate will be a battle hardened DevSecOps or site reliability engineer. They will be flexible and willing to learn. They will gain comprehensive expertise in all aspects of the team's roles, facilitating seamless integration and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and delivering working systems, complete with test cases and documentation, to support a containerized, orchestrated multi-component environment, primarily leveraging Kubernetes with a Service Mesh such as ISTIO.
• Experienced in a predominantly fast-paced prototyping work tempo backed by occasional routine enterprise development and documentation tasks depending on the week. 
• Provide technical guidance to the team. 
• Responsible for contributing to the architecture development, and expanding DevSecOps capabilities. 
• Work to improve both developer and user efficiency.
• Responsible for tactical delivery, managing resources against timelines, and may task team members to meeting project goals

Requirements:

• The ability to obtain a security clearance with eligibility for SCI, which requires US Citizenship.
• 5-7 years experience:
  • Working with CI/CD techniques using DevOps technology, automated configuration management
  • Designing and delivering complex, cross functional system development in a wide variety of technology stacks.
• 7-10 years of hands-on leadership experience with DevOps technologies and CI/CD tooling. 
• 3-5 years of experience leading technical teams in fast-paced environments, working and deploying capabilities for customers with high-security needs.
• 1-3 years of experience with delivering information systems that meet stringent cybersecurity requirements.

Tech Stack:

• Kubernetes, Docker, Cri-O, Containerd, or other container technologies
• ISTIO
• Hashicorp Vault
• Familiarity with JS applications (React/Redux) 
• Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
• AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud technologies
• Microservice architecture and “12 factor app”
