Yulin Bao

Yulin Bao is a Senior DevSecOps & Cloud Native Engineer at BrainGu. Yulin has also co-founded BlueSkyAKOps. Yulin has a wealth of experience in DevOps, having worked as a Sr DevOps at CMS, HHS from September 2021 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the stability and maintenance of the DBIDS App (Fargate/ECS) in AWS via Terraform/Terragrunt IaC. Yulin also designed, implemented, and deployed various Terraform/Terragrunt AWS Modules in ECS DBIDS, including the WAF module to mitigate and block DDoS attacks, the ECS Services auto-scaling module, and the Memcached and Lambda modules to improve performance. Additionally, Yulin upgraded RDS from 11 to 13 via Terraform, created AWS ACM certificates, and designed and implemented the cost analysis monitoring of AWS resources usage in Python. Finally, Yulin designed, implemented, and presented a live POC CI/CD Demo of verifying laC code modules using GitHub actions on Terraform AWS, Kubernetes with TerraTest, and Chef Inspec.
