Lutz Petersen

Lutz Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Lutz started their career as a Software Engineer at Headissue GmbH in 2004 and later became a Self Employed Software Developer in 2004. In 2007, they worked as a Research Associate at both Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and ETH Zürich. Lutz then joined Telejob ETH as the Head of IT in 2009. In 2011, they started working as a Project Engineer at OSRAM. Lutz's career then took a shift to the healthcare industry, where they joined Brainlab as a Product Manager in 2014. Over the years, they progressed to become the Manager R&D and then the Senior Product Manager. Their most recent role at Brainlab was as the Head of Product, where they had responsibilities such as leading product and marketing for orthopedic planning software, managing cross-functional teams, and increasing worldwide sales.

Lutz Petersen has a strong educational background in the field of Physics. Lutz obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from ETH Zürich, Switzerland, from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, spanning from 2004 to 2006. Lutz also pursued their undergraduate studies in Physics, earning a Bachelor's Degree from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, Germany, between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, in April 2019, Lutz obtained certification in Deep Learning Specialization from deeplearning.ai.
