Thomas Martin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Thomas currently works as a Management Associate to the CTO at Brainlab. In this role, they collaborate with the CTO on C-level projects and is involved in solving critical issues and shaping future strategies. Thomas has also played a role in the transition of the MDR (Medical Device Regulation) from the operational side, resulting in cost reductions and improved efficiency.

Thomas has also worked as a Sailing Coach for the Deutscher Segler-Verband, where they built and coached a team of 8 youth athletes for international competitions. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Engineer at Medical Valley EMN e.V. and a Working Student at Safelog, contributing to projects related to digitalization, warehouse logistics optimization, and human error prevention.

As a part-time freelancer, Thomas specialized in digitalization and online appearance for non-profit organizations, implementing strategies and services that increased membership and outreach. Thomas co-founded INVRTUAL, a company focused on virtual reality and augmented reality, and was also a Digital Tech Fellow at FAU Digital Tech Academy, participating in challenge-based innovation projects.

Furthermore, Thomas had a short-term role in business creation at EIT Health. Overall, they have demonstrated a diverse skill set and a passion for technology, innovation, and strategic problem-solving throughout their work experience.

Thomas Martin completed their Bachelor's degree in Medical Engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2016 to 2018. Thomas then pursued a Master's degree in Medical Engineering at the same institution from 2018 to 2021. During their Master's program, they were awarded the scholarship of the Bavarian Industry by Stiftung Bayerische EliteAkademie, focusing on responsible leadership from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they were accepted as a visiting researcher at Stanford University, where they specialized in Data Science for a short period of time.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas has obtained certifications in other areas. In 2013, they received the Professional Sailing Coach certification from Deutscher Segler-Verband. Thomas also holds a Red Cross certification as a paramedic from Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz (BRK), obtained in October 2013.
