Makeda Hamilton

Makeda Hamilton has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting. Makeda started their career as an Accounts Assistant at Matthews Daniel London Ltd & TMC Marine Consultants (Bureau Veritas) in 2017. During this time, they supported the accounting function by handling tasks such as VAT returns, sales invoices, balance sheet reconciliation, and audit queries. Makeda also played a key role in the transition from Sage to JD Edwards after the acquisition by Bureau Veritas. In 2019, they moved on to become an Assistant Accountant at MySense.ai, where they were responsible for processing expenses, credit card statements, and supplier invoices. Makeda then worked as a Financial Transactions Officer at Lewisham Council from 2020 to 2021. In this role, they handled various financial transactions. Makeda joined Closed Loop Medicine as a Management Accountant in December 2020 and worked there until 2023, before joining BRAINOMIX in February 2023 in the same role.

Makeda Hamilton pursued their education in a chronological manner. Makeda began their educational journey in 2006 at Orpington College, where they completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Sport Performance in 2007. In 2007, they furthered their studies at Greenwich Community College and obtained a Level 4 Diploma in Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) by 2009. Subsequently, they attended De Montfort University from 2009 to 2011, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.
