Charles Good has a diverse range of work experience. Charles most recently worked as a Science Learning Designer at BrainPOP since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Science Learning Designer (contract) at the same company from June to September 2022. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Middle School Science Teacher at Manchester Academic Charter School, where they developed curriculum materials and collaborated with external organizations. In 2021, they served as an Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education, teaching lesson planning, assessment, and technology integration. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Research Technician at the University of Pittsburgh, where they conducted research and presented findings at conferences and journals. In 2015, they worked as a Research Intern at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and in 2014, they were a Student Researcher at North Dakota State University. Charles also held various roles at Eastern Mennonite University in 2013, including Student Researcher, STEM Mentor, and Undergraduate Learning Assistant.
Charles Good completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Eastern Mennonite University from 2012 to 2016. Charles then pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree with a focus on Science (Chemistry) at the University of Pittsburgh from 2018 to 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Charles Good has obtained several certifications. In June 2021, they received a VEX IQ Certification from VEX Robotics. In July 2019, they obtained an Instructional I Chemistry 7-12 certification and an Instructional I General Science 7-12 certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In March 2020, they became a Google Certified Educator at Level 1.
