Dr. Yvette Nishikawa has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dr. Yvette started their career as the Director of Alternative Education at the Mono County Office of Education in 2001. In this role, they managed multiple county alternative education programs, developed curriculum units, conducted teacher trainings, and secured grants. During their tenure, they reduced budget expenditures and increased graduation rates.

In 2018, Dr. Nishikawa joined BrainPOP as the Director of Key Accounts, West Coast. Dr. Yvette was recognized as the top new business producer and showcased strong leadership abilities. Dr. Yvette actively participated in cross-departmental think-tank groups, mentored colleagues, and established communication protocols. Dr. Yvette held this role until 2020.

Following that, Dr. Nishikawa earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of LaVerne between 2001 and 2006.
