Dr. Yvette Nishikawa

Vice President, Strategic Accounts at BrainPOP

Dr. Yvette Nishikawa has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dr. Yvette started their career as the Director of Alternative Education at the Mono County Office of Education in 2001. In this role, they managed multiple county alternative education programs, developed curriculum units, conducted teacher trainings, and secured grants. During their tenure, they reduced budget expenditures and increased graduation rates.

In 2002, Dr. Nishikawa became the Elementary School Principal at the Rio Linda Union School District. Dr. Yvette successfully led the school from a low-ranking institution to a high-performing school of poverty within three years. Dr. Yvette coordinated the efforts of 50 staff members, built community partnerships, and implemented a School-wide Improvement Plan.

Moving ahead to 2010, Dr. Nishikawa joined Inquiry By Design as the Director of Partnerships. Dr. Yvette played a crucial role in developing partnerships in the Pacific Northwest region and achieved exceptional sales results. Dr. Yvette tripled the sales quota, maintained a high closing rate, and ensured a 100% renewal rate.

In 2018, Dr. Nishikawa joined BrainPOP as the Director of Key Accounts, West Coast. Dr. Yvette was recognized as the top new business producer and showcased strong leadership abilities. Dr. Yvette actively participated in cross-departmental think-tank groups, mentored colleagues, and established communication protocols. Dr. Yvette held this role until 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Nishikawa served as the Senior Director of Key Accounts/Sales Manager at BrainPOP. Dr. Yvette excelled in this role and emerged as the company's top revenue producer. Dr. Yvette achieved impressive sales results, facilitated team development, and contributed to the organization's revenue growth.

Recently, in 2022, Dr. Nishikawa was promoted to the role of Vice President, Strategic Accounts at BrainPOP. Dr. Yvette'sresponsibilities in this position include overseeing strategic accounts, participating in companywide initiatives, and driving new product developments.

Dr. Yvette Nishikawa's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Dr. Yvette then pursued a Masters degree in Education from California State University, Long Beach, completing it from 1994 to 1999. Following that, Dr. Nishikawa earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of LaVerne between 2001 and 2006.

In addition to their degrees, Dr. Nishikawa also obtained certifications to enhance their qualifications. Dr. Yvette received a Bilingual Teaching Credential, Multiple Subjects from the California Department of Education in June 1994. Later in July 1996, they obtained a California Administrative Credential from the same institution.
