Sophie Mortner

Sophie Mortner has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sophie started their career as an Oberlin College Chapter Co-Chair at Shining Hope for Communities, where they recruited members, organized fundraisers, and raised awareness about girls' education in Kenya. Sophie then moved on to work as a Second Grade Teacher at Rodeph Sholom School, where they planned and taught differentiated lessons and designed an inquiry-based Social Studies unit. Sophie later became a Head Teacher at Aim High, overseeing a classroom and managing instructional activities.

After that, Sophie joined WGBH as an Editorial Intern, gaining experience in the media industry. Sophie also worked as a Director and Instructor at Curious Jane, where they were responsible for program management and teaching.
