Acting Director Quality and Regulatory Affairs at BrainPort Technologies

Julie Popp has a wealth of experience in the medical field. Julie began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Manager and Supervisor of Hospital Services and the Component Lab, Quarantine & Labeling, Product QC at the American Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region. In 2002, they transferred to the headquarters of the American Red Cross as a Senior Associate Call Tracking – Compliance Office. In 2004, they were promoted to Director Asset Management, where they developed department objectives, goals, strategies and tactics for asset management across 36 blood centers. In 2009, they moved to Fenwal, Inc. as a Senior Validation Engineer, where they were engaged in team effort for the design and development of a design validation program for medical devices. In 2010, they became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Colorado Technical University. In 2015, they became a Project Consultant at Fresenius Kabi, where they oversaw multiple projects pertaining to risk management. In 2016, they became Co-Owner of Decision Point CQS. In 2017, they became a Consultant at NSF International, where they provided consulting services to a cardiac medical device manufacturer. Finally, in 2019, they became the Acting Director Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Wicab, Inc.

Julie Popp has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they obtained between 1991 and 1995. Julie also has a Masters in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Additionally, they have a B.S in Medical Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Julie holds certifications from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, as well as Business Administration, Business Management, and Change Management from Colorado Technical University.
