David H. Nguyen, Ph.D.

David H. Nguyen, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. David currently works at StartUp Health as a Health Transformer. David is also the Co-Founder and CEO of BrainScanology, a company they started in 2019. In addition, Dr. Nguyen is the Founder of Next Level Prep, where they provide self-paced online career skills courses and 1-on-1 workshops on biomedical research and data science for high school and college students.

David has also held leadership roles in various organizations. David served as the Chair of the Environmental & Medical Fallout Task Force - Aliso Canyon Gas Blowout in 2018. Dr. Nguyen was a Member of Berkeley SkyDeck from 2020 to 2021 and a Fellow at FORM+FUND Tech Startup Program @Berkeley in 2020. Furthermore, they were an Editor-in-Chief of Cancer InCytes Magazine from 2012 to 2020, overseeing content, vision, collaborations, and marketing for the e-magazine.

Dr. Nguyen has academic experience as well. David was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's Department of Radiology from 2018 to 2019, where they developed image analysis algorithms to improve diagnostics. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Education Consultant at ThinkTank Learning, Inc. from 2015 to 2019, providing expertise in education consulting. David is also a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, where they served from 2018 to 2019.

David H. Nguyen, Ph.D. pursued their higher education at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2001, they began their undergraduate studies and successfully completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Molecular & Cell Biology in 2005. Then, David went on to further advance their specialization in Endocrinology by pursuing a Ph.D. degree from the same institution. David dedicated five years, from 2006 to 2011, to complete their doctoral studies in the field of Endocrinology.
