Rebeca Ramos-Zayas

Rebeca Ramos-Zayas has extensive work experience in the field of stem cell biology and research. Rebeca is currently serving as the Director of Stem Cell Biology at BrainXell, Inc. since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. as a Principal Scientist from November 2019 to December 2022, and as a Senior Scientist from November 2018 to October 2019.

Before joining Sana Biotechnology, Inc., Rebeca held positions at CRISPR Therapeutics, Pfizer, Repligen Corporation, ViaCell BC Corp, Ocata Therapeutics, GPC Biotech, and Genome Therapeutics Corporation. At CRISPR Therapeutics, they worked as a Senior Scientist from March 2018 to October 2018 and as a Scientist from February 2016 to February 2018.

At Pfizer, they served as a Scientist in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease division from April 2015 to January 2016, and as a Scientist in the Rare Diseases Research Unit from July 2013 to March 2015. Rebeca also gained valuable experience at Ocata Therapeutics as a Senior Research Associate from January 2005 to February 2006, at GPC Biotech as a Senior Research Associate from August 2002 to December 2004, and at Genome Therapeutics Corporation as a Research Associate from May 1998 to March 2002.

Rebeca Ramos-Zayas earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Universidad de Puerto Rico from 1987 to 1992. Rebeca then pursued a Master's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Harvard University from 1992 to 1994.
