Dr. Charles Chip Mc Neal M.Ed, Ph.D has a diverse range of work experiences. Dr. Charles Chip currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Education & Learning Initiatives at Brandeis University, where they coach faculty on anti-racist teaching strategies. Dr. Charles Chip also completed a fellowship in the Future of Learning Institute (FOL) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Arts Integration from Lesley University in 2011. Dr. Charles Chip holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Sociology from Excelsior University, which they completed between 2005 and 2009. Dr. Charles Chip also has continuing studies in Psychology, Sociology, and French from the University of California, Berkeley during the same period. Additionally, Dr. McNeal has pursued incomplete studies in Psychology and Drama/Theater at New York University. Dr. Charles Chip has also obtained several certifications, including Teaching Tolerance – Anti-Racist Curriculum Framework and Teaching Tolerance Social Justice Curriculum Framework from the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Dr. Charles Chip holds an Integrated Learning Specialist certification from the Alameda County Office of Education in 2010. Furthermore, Dr. McNeal has a certification as an Oral Historian from the Museum of Performance and Design, acquired in 2009. Finally, they hold a Notary Public Commission from the California Secretary of State, obtained in March 2019.
