Michael LaFarr has a strong background in higher education and student affairs. Michael has worked as the Assistant Vice Chancellor at the University of Denver since 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Health & Wellness at Brandeis University, where they oversaw various health services and supervised a large team. Michael was also responsible for chairing the Behavioral Intervention Team. Before Brandeis, Michael was a Professor at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, where they taught courses in clinical psychology and organizational psychology. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Student Affairs at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Michael LaFarr earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from William James College, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Denver, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Michael is a certified Clinical Psychologist by the Massachusetts Board of Psychology.
