Bart van Leeuwen has extensive experience in the fire service and technology applications for emergency response. As the owner of Netage B.V. since 1995, Bart has also served as a Certified Situational Awareness Master Instructor at Situational Awareness Matters since 2022. Bart holds the position of Captain and Senior Firefighter at Brandweer Amsterdam-Amstelland since 2001 and is currently a member of the Technology Council for the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Additional roles include Group Associate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Executive Committee Member for the FRST Challenge, and contributions to several W3C working groups focused on data and emergency information standards. Bart's career reflects a strong commitment to innovation in situational awareness and data interoperability for first responders, complemented by a foundational education from Europa College Amsterdam.
