Heather Laxton, LL.M, FCG, currently serves as Corporate Secretary at Bravo Mining Corp. and as a Governance Consultant at Beyond Governance, both roles commencing in January 2024. As the Founder and Principal of GovRight Consulting since February 2013, Heather has extensive experience in governance. Additionally, Heather is a faculty member at the Governance Professionals of Canada and the Caribbean Governance Training Institute. Previous roles include Instructor at Crown Agents (June 2018 - July 2024), Governance Consultant at AngloGold Ashanti (January 2024 - June 2024), Director and Governance & Nominating Committee Chair at GoldShore Resources (May 2021 - September 2023), and Chief Governance Officer & Corporate Secretary at Wesdome Gold Mines (September 2015 - September 2023). Heather also served as Corporate Secretary at Kirkland Lake Gold from May 2013 to June 2015. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Business Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a Diploma (Honours) as a Law Clerk from Seneca College. Additionally, Heather completed the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute in 2000.
