Kristen Townes

Kristen Townes has a strong background in asset management, starting in 2013 with their role as an Asset Manager at Apple Hospitality REIT Inc. Kristen later became a Senior Asset Manager and eventually rose to the position of Vice President of Asset Management at the same company. In this role, Kristen managed 37 hotels in various locations and markets. Prior to their work at Apple Hospitality REIT Inc, they gained experience as a Senior Associate at KPMG US, where they oversaw audit engagements for clients with revenues up to $9 billion. Overall, Kristen's career has focused on asset management and financial analysis.

Kristen Townes obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Purdue University Daniels School of Business between the years 2004 and 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. Kristen received the Certified Public Accountant certification from the VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy in January 2010. Kristen also obtained a Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University in September 2015, and a Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics from the American Hotel & Lodging Association in January 2015.
