Loronda Lee

Loronda joins Breakthrough Energy with over 16 years of HR experience ranging from non-profit to defense contracting. Most recently Loronda has been the Director of Human Resources for Carnegie Institution for Science. As a member of the executive leadership team, Loronda helped to implement technology to manage employee self-service, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and compensation, as well as training and development. She served as a partner to the Carnegie’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and the Climate Survey Working Group. Prior to Carnegie Loronda worked for CACI and the United States Institute for Peace.

Loronda is excited about joining Breakthrough Energy at such a critical time and working with leadership to create a diverse, inclusive, and equitable culture.

Loronda grew up in Berlin, Germany. She holds a M.A from Marymount University. Loronda lives in Virginia. She is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and all things Real Housewives.
