Julia Engels

Julia Engels is the Regional Sales Director at Brella, a company on a mission to build a world where health hardships don’t create financial burdens. Julia has been with the company for just over a year. Prior to Brella, Julia spent six years and three months as a Regional Account Executive, Regional Marketing Representative at The Hartford. Before that, they were an Inside Sales/Marketing representative at ENV Insurance Agency for three years and one month. Julia started their career as an intern at the Syracuse Chiefs, where they worked for 11 months before being promoted to Merchandise Manager. In this role, they were responsible for operating the Point of Sales system in the merchandise store, designing and purchasing apparel from different vendors, and setting up the store. Julia also rotated inventory on a regular basis to ensure maximum amount of sales and took monthly inventory reports. Julia also hired and trained seasonal employees. During their time as an intern, Julia learned many different aspects of how a stadium runs, including how to use the Glitner Ticketing system. Julia also set up the merchandise store from scratch and went to several seminars to learn sales techniques to use when cold calling companies.

Julia Engels has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies- Public Relations and Advertising from the State University of New York College at Cortland. Julia also studied International and Intercultural Communication at Lorenzo de Medici Institute in Florence, Italy. Julia is currently a Group Benefits Disability Specialist at The Hartford.
