Matthew Cook is an Associate Attorney at Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara licensed to practice law in Nevada. Mr. Cook graduated from William S. Boyd School of Law with a J.D. and LL.M in Gaming Law. From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Cook was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Joanna Kishner. In spring 2018, Mr. Cook was an Extern at the Nevada Gaming Control Board for Board Member Terry Johnson. Mr. Cook is the Inaugural Melanie Kushnir Access to Justice Fellow. Mr. Cook established Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s first Google Adwords Marketing Campaign to raise awareness for their legal services. Mr. Cook got Legal Aid Center a $120,000 per year Google Ad Grant to fund the project. Mr. Cook created over 50,000 keywords and 2000 advertisements that are seen all across Nevada. During his 3 month project, the advertisements had over 12,000 interactions and appeared on over 200,000 devices.

In 2017, Mr. Cook was OPLS President. In 2016, he was OPLS VP. In 2015, Mr. Cook was BLSA VP of Programming and Community Relations. He also received the Judge Earl White Scholarship and Community Service Scholarship. From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Cook was a Boyd Public Interest Fellow and he was involved in Partners in Probono. In 2015, Mr. Cook worked at the Eighth Judicial District Court as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Joe Hardy. Previously, Mr. Cook worked at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada as a Family Rights Law Clerk, and he started out in the Consumer Rights Project. Also, during 2015, Mr. Cook worked as a J.D. Fellow at Nevada Legal Services where he completed 300 hours of community service. Mr. Cook received the Public Interest Law Association Grant along with the Segal Americorps Education Award. Mr. Cook assisted clients in their appellate briefs and criminal record sealing. In 2013, Mr. Cook established Opportunity Village’s first Google Adwords Campaign, which assisted disabled individuals in Southern Nevada. Mr. Cook received a $120,000 per year grant to fund the campaign. Mr. Cook oversaw the program’s success for over a year as a volunteer. In 2012, Mr. Cook graduated from UNLV Lee Business School with a BSBA in Marketing.
