Alexander Hermans

Alexander Hermans has extensive work experience in the procurement and commercial management fields. Alexander currently holds the position of Head of Procurement LatAm South at Brenntag since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Procurement Manager at Brenntag Latin America South from February 2019 to September 2020, where they played a key role in implementing the company's product and service strategy and leading purchasing organizations in multiple countries. Before that, they worked at Brenntag Peru, first as a Commercial Manager for Direct Sales, Food, Personal & Home Care from July 2017 to January 2019, and then as a Business Development Manager from October 2016 to June 2017. In this role, they were instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, enhancing Brenntag's portfolio, and establishing a new industrial business unit. Additionally, they had the position of Marketing Manager at Brenntag Latin America Inc from October 2014 to September 2016, where they successfully transitioned HCI Chemicals Nederland BV Sourcing operations and contributed to the growth of the company's volume, revenue, and profit in the South Cone, Central America, and the Caribbean. Prior to their tenure at Brenntag, Alexander worked as a Chemical Trader at the company from October 2011 to September 2014. Alexander also gained experience as an intern at Houthoff Buruma in November and December 2010.

Alexander Hermans obtained their Master of Laws degree in Financial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2004 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their pre-university education at Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen from 1998 to 2004, focusing on Economics & Society.
