Dr. Darran Specter

Dr. Darran Specter, CFA, currently serves as a Senior Portfolio Strategist at Brevan Howard since January 2024. Prior to this role, Dr. Specter held various positions at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) from December 2012 to January 2024, including Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Manager, and Investment Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as Investment Manager and Head of Quantitative Investment Research at Cardano from May 2009 to November 2012 and as a Senior Quantitative & Risk Analyst/Systematic Strategies Analyst at Schroders from April 2005 to May 2009. Dr. Specter earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Imperial College London in 2005 and a Master of Engineering (MEng) in the same field from the same institution in 2001.
