Gilles Grandjean is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Since 1995, Gilles has held various positions at BRGM, including Directeur de programme, Directeur adjoint à Direction des Risques et de la Prévention, and Ingénieur risque, overseeing research related to geophysical risks and terrain movements. Additionally, Gilles served as a Professor of geophysics and engineering geology at the University of Liège from 2002 to 2003, contributing to teaching, administration, and research in applied geophysics. Previously, Gilles was a postdoctoral researcher in geophysics at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal from 1993 to 1994, focusing on seismic imaging. Gilles obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Geophysics from the University of Montpellier, where further academic pursuits included a third-cycle thesis in geophysics.
