Jan Syssauw

Jan Syssauw has a diverse and extensive work experience. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Product & Development at Bricsys® since January 2023. In this role, they oversee the product, development, and UX/UI teams responsible for building BricsCAD, a professional CAD software, and Bricsys 24/7, a cloud-based common data environment.

Before joining Bricsys®, Jan was the Sr. Director and Head of BricsCAD Development from October 2021 to January 2023, where they worked closely with product, development, and UX/UI teams to develop Bricsys' flagship product, BricsCAD. Bricsys is a global provider of engineering design software and aims to become a leader in the complete design market.

Prior to their role at Bricsys®, Jan worked at StepStone as a Sr. Group Director from September 2015 to September 2021.

Jan also has a significant background at Oracle, where they held various positions. Jan served as Director of Service Innovation and Director of Product Management and Strategy from August 2013 to August 2015 and May 2011 to August 2013, respectively. In these roles, they focused on customer self-service efficiency, application usability, and transformation of development processes.

From October 2007 to May 2011, Jan served as Director of Oracle Development, managing global teams and engineering responsibilities. Before that, they worked as a Sr. Manager of KM Operations from April 2002 to October 2007, overseeing operations, project management, and functional integration of Oracle acquisitions. Additionally, they held the role of Sr. Team Leader for the Server Group from April 1998 to April 2002.

Jan started their career at Dolmen as an Analyst Programmeur/System Engineer (DBA) from January 1996 to April 1998.

Jan Syssauw attended HOGENT from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a degree in Ingenieur. Prior to that, they attended Sint Stanislascollege, though the specific dates and degree obtained are unknown.
