Owumi Festus

Owumi Festus has a diverse background in the technology industry. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer in Backend and Machine Learning at Demz Analytics. In 2020, they held the position of Software Engineer at both Delivast and TradeDepot. The following year, in 2021, they joined Kippa as a Software Engineer. Additionally, in 2017, Owumi co-founded XBlitz, a startup where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO. At XBlitz, they led the engineering efforts and played a significant role in developing CoinSlash, a mobile app that facilitated transactions using Freecoins. Currently, Owumi is the Co-Founder and CTO at Bridgecard, a company established in 2021.

Owumi Festus obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. In December 2018, they earned a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning from AI Saturday Lagos. Owumi later obtained a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence: Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing from the same institution in December 2019. In July 2018, they completed a Python 3 Course from SoloLearn. Furthermore, they have acquired multiple certifications from Coursera, including "Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP Specialization," "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow," "Building Batch Data Pipelines on GCP," "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals," "Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP," "Building Resilient Streaming Analytics Systems on GCP," and "Smart Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI on GCP." Owumi obtained these Coursera certifications throughout 2020, with multiple certifications achieved in April and August of that year.
