Paul Searcy

Chief Scientist at BridgeComm

Paul Searcy is the current Chief Scientist at BridgeComm, a position they have held for the last five years. Paul was previously the VP of Research and Development at Meadowlark Optics, where they managed the R&D and Engineering groups, developing new product lines and polarization metrology tools. Paul also directed the technical Sales department for four years. Prior to that, they were an Optical Packaging Engineer at picolight for two years and a Senior Optical Engineer at Displaytech for four years. Searcy began their career as a Staff Engineer at ThemoTrex, where they worked for four years. Paul has an innovative, collaborative approach towards problem solving and identifying the most useful questions to both ask and solve.

Paul Searcy has an MSEE from the University of Colorado - Boulder in Liquid Crystals, Optically Addressed Spatial Light Modulators (1994 - 1996), and a degree from the California Institute of Technology in Optics/ Material Science (1985 - 1989). At Caltech they were involved in Engineering and Applied Science, and was a member of Lloyd House.
