Karen Fitzgerald Kipfer

Karen FitzGerald Kipfer is a senior healthcare leader with extensive experience in strategic communications, relationship building, and project management. Currently serving as the Executive Program Director at Bridgeport Hospital since June 2019, Kipfer previously held the position of Director of Community and Public Relations at Milford Hospital from May 2005 to June 2019. Earlier in the career, Kipfer was the Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury, managing strategic and operational responsibilities for the nonprofit agency, and the Director of Program Services at the March of Dimes, Connecticut Chapter, where programming focused on maternal, infant, and child health. Karen FitzGerald Kipfer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Providence College, attained in 1987.
