Matthew Blaine

Matthew Blaine is a seasoned librarian currently serving at Bridgeport Public Library since July 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held positions at Fairfield University from August 2015 to August 2023, where responsibilities included Research and Outreach Librarian and Library Paraprofessional. Earlier experience includes roles as a Records Management Assistant at Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, Project Archivist at Travelers, and volunteer positions in the Curatorial Department and Collections at The Mark Twain House and Connecticut Historical Society, respectively. Matthew also managed operations at 66 to Cali, Inc. from June 2011 to August 2012. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Matthew completed high school at Avon Old Farms School.
