Sam O'Bryant

Sam O'Bryant is a mission-driven nonprofit executive, strategist, and community builder who presently serves as President & CEO of BRIDGES USA. They previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Literacy Mid-South from 2023 to 2024, where they provided support to more than 15,000 children and families, oversaw a budget that quadrupled, and expanded staff from 8 full-time to 17 full-time and 115 part-time employees. They earned an MPA in Public Policy and Administration from Jackson State University (2003–2004) and an MPA in Public Administration from Webster University (2008–2009), a Graduate Certificate in Urban Education from the University of Memphis (2016–2018), and a BS in Agricultural Science from Alcorn State University (1997–2002). They have been recognized as a 40 Under 40 by the Memphis Business Journal and by Momentum Nonprofit Partners and the Memphis Grizzlies.
