Tonya Reece

Tonya Reece is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Program Outreach & AmeriCorps Compliance at BRIDGES since July 2011, overseeing the BRIDGES AmeriCorps program and the CONNECT level of Bridge Builders programming. This role involves supervising year-long service members, developing storytelling strategies to highlight AmeriCorps and youth voices, and ensuring grant compliance. Previously, Tonya held positions as a part-time HR Assistant/Admin Assistant, managing human resources and accounting filing systems, as well as supporting client data entry and internal compliance audits. Earlier experience includes working as a self-contracted tutor for elementary school students through the Memphis Literacy Corps, focusing on improving reading comprehension and vocabulary for youth with special needs. Tonya Reece earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The University of Memphis between 2007 and 2015.
