Jeff Herman began their work experience in 2000 as a Communications Consultant at ATX Communications. Jeff then worked as a Commercial Services Sales Rep at York International from November 2003 to August 2005. In 2004, they joined Daiichi Sankyo as a Sales Representative, staying until February 2006. At that time, they became National Sales Manager at basys until January 2009. From January 2009 to December 2015, they served as Director of Sales & Account Management at basys. Finally, they became Vice President of Sales & Marketing at basys in 2006, a position they still hold.

Jeff Herman attended James Madison University from 1996 to 1998, but it is unknown whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study during that time. Jeff then went on to attend Radford University - College of Business and Economics from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a BBA degree in Marketing.
