Sofia Feng is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in food science and business development. Currently serving as the Division Manager at Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. since June 2023, Sofia previously held the position of Food Scientist and Business Development at MICREOS from May 2019 to May 2023. Prior to that, a Project Management Food Safety Specialist role was undertaken at North Carolina State University from May 2012 to May 2019, focusing on product scaling, formulation, microbiological analysis, and sanitation procedures for commercial manufacturing. Sofia also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant during the pursuit of academic degrees, obtaining a PhD and multiple master’s degrees in Food Science and Nutrition Sciences from North Carolina State University from 2012 to 2018. Additional education includes a focus on Global Food Security at Purdue University and a summer program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
