Rania Deranieh, Ph.D., Fulbright Alumna, is currently the Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer at Bright Biotech since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Manchester from 2019 to 2020. Rania also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Hussman Institute for Autism from 2016 to 2017, at Wayne State University from 2014 to 2016, and at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2016. Additionally, they gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University's Biological Sciences Department from 2007 to 2014, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Wayne State University from 2005 to 2007.

Rania Deranieh, Ph.D., Fulbright Alumna, holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Wayne State University. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Microbiology from the University of Jordan. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Biological Analyses, also from the University of Jordan. In addition to their academic achievements, Rania has obtained certifications in Managing Up and Time Management Fundamentals from LinkedIn, completed in April 2020.
