Andrii Petrenko

Andrii Petrenko's work experience spans over multiple positions and companies. Andrii began their career as an IT System Administrator at ukrplastic in 2003, where they managed Unix systems and internet administration. In 2006, they joined Miratech, ltd as a Senior Unix Administrator, responsible for system administration and management of Sun Solaris and FreeBSD systems.

In 2008, Andrii joined Alcatel-Lucent as a Staff Unix Systems Administrator, working in system administration. Andrii later transitioned to HP Enterprise Services in 2010 as a UNIX System Administrator, where they provided service delivery and designed and supported production infrastructure.

Andrii then joined Five9 in 2011 as a UNIX/Linux System Administrator and later became the Team Lead of the Datacenter team. In 2013, they joined Yahoo as an Edge Service Engineer, working on CDN engineering, automation, scripting, monitoring, and Chef configuration management.

Andrii moved to Xoom Corporation in 2015 as a Senior DevOps Engineer, and later that year, joined Mirantis as an L2 Operation and Escalation Manager, responsible for customer support and operation management.

In 2018, Andrii joined TrueAccord as the Director of Cloud Operation, where they oversaw AWS/GCP production infrastructure, DevOps, and infrastructure architecture. Andrii was a core member of the PCI DSS team and successfully migrated the legacy environment to an infrastructure-as-code setup.

Andrii'smost recent position was at Bright Pattern, where they served as the Director of Operations. Andrii'sresponsibilities included managing on-prem datacenter and various cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and SOC2, optimizing costs, and hiring.

Andrii Petrenko obtained a master's degree from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' from 1991 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended School 17 from 1981 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, Andrii Petrenko also obtained a certification as an Openstack administrator from Mirantis in November 2015.
