Philipp Moosmann

Dr. Philipp Moosmann is a scientist who currently works for Bright Peak Therapeutics. Philipp has a PhD in Biology from ETH Zurich and did their postdoctoral work at the University of Tokyo. During their time at the University of Tokyo, they worked on the discovery of neuroprotective compounds isolated from deep-sea marine sponges. Philipp also participated in a science outreach program, giving talks about cutting edge research topics to highschool students. Dr. Moosmann’s research focuses on identifying new natural products in cyanobacteria, as well as studying the biosynthesis of the discovered compounds. Philipp has also supervised an exchange PhD student for a year and three master students for 3 months each. In addition, they were also organizing a part of the practical course for first year Biology students.

Philipp Moosmann has a PhD from ETH Zürich in the field of Microbiology. Philipp also has an MS from ETH Zürich in Microbiology and Immunology, and a BS from ETH Zürich in Biology.
