Mayra Licea

Mayra Licea is an Earth Science Teacher at Bright Star Schools, where development and implementation of comprehensive NGSS-aligned curriculum plans enhance student engagement and achievement. With a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Resource Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of California, Berkeley, Mayra has gained extensive experience in education, including roles as a Decal Facilitator at UC Berkeley, a Student Teacher, and a Teacher Assistant at various schools. Additional contributions include serving as Sustainability Manager and Philanthropy Chairperson for Gamma Phi Beta, where Mayra implemented sustainability initiatives and coordinated charitable activities. Mayra also has a background in STEM outreach and independent research, focusing on web-based inquiry science environments.
