Bryan Nowroozi

Chief Scientific Officer at Bright Uro

Bryan Nowroozi has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Bryan is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at Bright Uro, a position they started in December 2021. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, they worked at Theranova, LLC, where they held the role of Director of R&D and was responsible for leading the early stage product development and clinical development of medical device startups. Bryan also served as the Senior Manager of R&D at Theranova, LLC from 2017 to 2018.

Before joining Theranova, LLC, Bryan worked at Respirix as an R&D professional from 2017 to 2021. In addition, they established their own consulting firm, Bryan Nowroozi Consulting, in 2017 and served as an R&D Consultant until 2021.

Bryan's previous experience includes being a Co-Founder and CTO at Mimeo Labs, Inc. from 2014 to 2018. Bryan also worked at the Center for Advanced Surgical and Interventional Technology, UCLA as an Assistant Director of Research from 2013 to 2014 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2012 to 2013.

During their time as a doctoral student at Brown University from 2006 to 2011, Bryan held the role of Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor in Evolutionary Biology. Bryan also served as a Graduate Student Instructor in Gross Human Anatomy and Medical Histology at Alpert Medical School of Brown University from 2006 to 2009.

Prior to their academic pursuits at Brown University, Bryan worked as a Research Technician at UC Irvine from 2005 to 2006 and as a Laboratory Assistant at Golden West College from 2005 to 2005.

Bryan Nowroozi obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship in a Global Economy from UC Berkeley in the years between 1999 and 2003. Following this, they pursued higher education at Brown University, where they completed their PhD in Biomechanics during the period spanning from 2006 to 2011.
