Andrew Tucker, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Andrew is currently the Technical Product Director and Team Lead at BrightInsight, where they manage a team of 5 employees and successfully launched a software as a medical device (SaMD) within a tight timeframe. Andrew also oversees the digital health roadmap and portfolio for two top 25 pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Senior Program Manager at NuPulseCV, Inc., where they managed research and development activities, ensuring project management and regulatory compliance. Andrew also coordinated cross-functional projects and translated stakeholder needs into actionable requirements for engineers.

Before joining NuPulseCV, Andrew served as a Design Section Instructor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Andrew's previous experience includes working as a Program Manager at XinVivo, Inc., leading the R&D department and managing a capital equipment project with a global scope. Andrew also provided mentorship to engineers and successfully brought projects from the research phase to market-ready products.

Additionally, Andrew worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UNC Chapel Hill and as a Field Engineer at Arclight Wireless, Inc.

Earlier in their career, Andrew gained experience as a Cooperative Education Student at Sony Ericsson.

Andrew Tucker Ph.D. earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2004 to 2009. Andrew then pursued their PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they hold certifications in Good Clinical Practice from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and ISO 13485 Auditor from Lauber Associates obtained in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
