Deborah Zumbado, CPA

Deborah Zumbado, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Deborah is currently working at Brightline as the Senior Director of Accounting, a role they assumed in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Accounting at Brightline starting in March 2021 until May 2023.

Before Brightline, Deborah served as the Controller at Bombay Lane Partners/Wellington Healthcare from September 2020 to February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Corporate Controller at Prospira PainCare for over four years, from May 2016 to September 2020. In this role, they led the finance and accounting team, implemented systems and procedures to streamline financial close, and managed financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll.

Deborah also has experience as an independent consultant, providing CFO/Controller services to small or growing businesses. From July 2015 to December 2017, they worked as an Independent Consultant, focusing on strategic planning, budget and forecast development, and financial package creation and review.

Earlier in their career, Deborah held various roles including Vice President of Finance & Operations at Agile Resources, Inc. from October 2013 to July 2015, Controller at MacromatiX in 2013, and Controller at Surgical Information Systems from 2001 to 2012. In their role at Surgical Information Systems, they managed accounting staff, handled financial and management reporting, and played a key role in selecting and implementing financial applications.

Deborah's career started at MedQuest Associates in 1996, where they worked as an Accountant and was responsible for financial statement analysis, budgeting, and overseeing the general ledger and AP staff. Deborah then moved on to Infocure Corporation as an Accounting Manager in 1998 and later joined Integrated Pharmacy Solutions as the Manager of Financial Planning and Reporting from September 1998 to March 2001.

Throughout their career, Deborah has demonstrated expertise in various financial and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, financial system implementation, and strategic planning.

Deborah Zumbado, CPA obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Deborah attended the university from 1988 to 1994.
