Chris Simmonds

Chris Simmonds has a diverse work experience in music-related roles. From 2009 to present, they have worked as a Session Bassist for various acts, recording and touring worldwide. In 2012, they joined East Sussex Music as a Guitar Teacher, instructing students of all ages and teaching various guitar styles. From 2017 to 2022, they served as the Curriculum Leader at East Sussex Music, overseeing the guitar program. In 2019, they became the Head of Guitar at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival. Currently, from 2022, they are working as the Development Manager for Innovation and Engagement at Create Music.

Chris Simmonds attended the Brighton Institute of Modern Music from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Popular music. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications as a Kickstart Employer from Future Creators in November 2021, and as a Real Ideas Webinar Panellist from the Real Ideas Organisation in February 2021.
