Marilena Reina has over 10 years of experience in marketing and strategic communications. Marilena is currently the Head of Marketing & Strategic Communications at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Marketing at Brighton & Hove Music & Arts / East Sussex Music, where they focused on bringing music education and its benefits to young people. Marilena also served as the Head of Marketing at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival, an arts charity that brings arts and culture to a diverse audience through events and festivals. Before that, they were a Marketing Manager at Tate Britain, where they planned and executed national marketing campaigns for exhibitions and collection displays. Marilena began their career as a Marketing Executive at Whitechapel Gallery, where they implemented creative marketing campaigns for art exhibitions and events. Marilena has demonstrated expertise in project management, audience growth strategies, content production, website development, data strategy, brand development, and team management.

Marilena Reina attended Kingston University from 1998 to 2002. During this time, they pursued a degree in History of Art and French and achieved a 2:1.
