Shawn Chance

Shawn Chance is an experienced venture partner and board director with a strong background in commercialization, sales, and marketing. Currently serving as a Venture Partner at Brightspark Ventures since April 2024, Shawn has previously held key positions at Deep Sky and ClearEstate as a board director. At OMERS Ventures, Shawn contributed as a partner while also engaging with various organizations in board director roles, including Tehama and Muse® by Interaxon Inc. Notable leadership experience includes serving as Chief Commercialization Officer and Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Nymi. Shawn's mentoring contributions to young Canadian entrepreneurs through Futurpreneur Canada highlight a commitment to fostering new talent. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and certifications in marketing and coaching from recognized institutions.
