R. Corey Waller MD, MS DFASAM has a wide range of experience in the healthcare industry. R. Corey currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at BrightView, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to that, they were the Editor-In-Chief of the ASAM Criteria at the American Society of Addiction Medicine from January 2020. R. R. Corey Waller MD, MS DFASAM has a comprehensive education history that spans over several years. In 1990, Waller graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General. R. Corey then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Biology from Texas State University-San Marcos in 1999. Continuing their academic journey, Waller attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine in 2003. Following their medical degree, Waller underwent residency training in Emergency Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University from 2003 to 2006. Their dedication to their field carried him to achieve Board Certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Board of Addiction Medicine in 2010.
