Margie Gerena Lewis

Margie Gerena Lewis has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Physician and completed an Internship Trainee program in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University. Margie then joined the University of Cincinnati, where they held various positions, including Resident Physician/Internal Medicine, Fellow in Hematology/Oncology, Clinical Instructor in the Hematology/Oncology Division, and eventually became an Assistant Professor in the Hematology/Oncology Division. In 2010, they joined Summa Health System as a Staff Physician until 2014. Margie Gerena Lewis also pursued an Addiction Medicine Fellowship at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Medical Director at BrightView, starting from 2022.

Margie Gerena Lewis has a diverse and extensive education history. Margie first attended Antilles Military Academy from 1981 to 1988, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in BS Biology from Wayne State University, completing their studies from 1988 to 1993.

Driven by their passion for medicine, Margie then enrolled at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree between 1993 and 1998. This degree equipped their with the necessary expertise to practice medicine as a licensed physician.

Seeking further knowledge in the healthcare field, Margie pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health Care at Baldwin Wallace University from 2016 to 2018.

Throughout their career, Margie has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In January 2023, they obtained certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
