Irene Jang

Irene Jang has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Math Teacher at Centennial High School. In 2009, they moved to Bolingbrook High School to fill the same role. In 2015, they became a Product Designer-in-Residence and Product Designer at DESIGNATION Labs. In 2016, they were a Product Designer at Nelson Cash. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Design Practice Group Lead, Senior Product Designer & Researcher, and Product Designer & Researcher at Table XI. Most recently, they have been a Senior Product Designer & Researcher at Khan Academy since 2020, and is set to become a Lead Product Designer at brightwheel in 2022.

Irene Jang attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics. Irene then returned to the same university from 2008 to 2009, where they earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction.
