Michelle Mcsweeney

Michelle A. McSweeney, PhD, currently serves as the Data Science & Programming Managing Producer at Brilliant.org since February 2023. As an adjunct assistant professor at The Graduate Center, City University of New York since May 2017, Michelle teaches courses in Data Analysis and Visualization, with recent focus on ChatGPT and Large Language Models (LLMs). Previous roles include Tech & Dev Content Director and Data Science Domain Manager at Codecademy, where Michelle led content integration and developed data science curricula. Michelle's extensive academic experience includes adjunct positions at Pratt Institute and The New School, along with significant research roles at Converseon.AI and Columbia University. Michelle's educational background includes a PhD in Linguistics and Interactive Technology and Pedagogy from The Graduate Center, and a BA in Chemistry and Mathematics from Michigan State University.
