Kate Nowak

Kate Nowak is a seasoned professional in mathematics education, currently serving as a Senior Producer at Brilliant.org, where responsibilities include designing interactive mathematics courses since October 2022. Previously, Kate Nowak held the position of Director of Curriculum at Illustrative Mathematics from June 2014 to April 2022, overseeing the K–12 curriculum development team, and served as the Instructional Lead Author for the IM 6–12 Math content development team. Earlier in the career, Kate Nowak contributed as a Lesson Developer at Mathalicious and as a Mathematics Teacher at Fayetteville-Manlius Senior High School from September 2005 to June 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Mathematics from Binghamton University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
